St Pete Raiders Return To Play Protocols For Puryear Park Campus Only
Cleaning and Sanitizing
All surface areas in and around the clubhouse and both interior and exterior areas of bathrooms will be thoroughly sanitized before, between and after each training session with an approved CDC sanitizer. Lysol spray or equivalent will be used with the confines of the clubhouse area. Coaches equipment will be sanitized before and after each session.
Concessions
Concession will NOT be open at this time. We feel this will cause a congestion around this area making social distancing difficult.
Team Snacks and Drinks
Nothing will be supplied by the club. Parents will be advised to supply their child with adequate water for the duration of the tryout session. (60 minutes) Sharing of drinks & food will be prohibited and enforced.
Spectators and Seating
We are strongly advising Parents NOT to attend tryouts. However, if they do then one parent per player will be admitted. Any parent staying will also have their temperature taken and will also be required to sign a waiver. Bleachers will be cautioned taped to avoid anyone from sitting on them and parents must provide their own chair and practice social distancing of at least 6ft from any other parents and at a distance of approximately 20 yards from the nearest player.
Equipment
Coaches will use their own equipment and will not share with other coaches. Players will be advised at the onset, not to touch this equipment at any time. Pinnies will NOT be issued from coaches to players. All training equipment will be sanitized before & after each session. Players will be advised to bring their own soccer ball.
Restrooms
Restrooms will be cleaned and sanitized before, between and after each session and have adequate supplies of hand sanitizer and Lysol spray (or equivalent) within the confines of the restrooms. (This applies to the restrooms situated in the clubhouse location) The separate restroom building at Puryear Park will not be opened by our staff.
Scheduling
We will limit field use to two sessions per night (6:00-7:00 & 7:30-8:30) with a 30-minute recess in between these sessions for coaches to re prep and to reduce the flow of traffic to and from the field.
Entry to the fields
Access will be via the main parking lot & tennis court parking lot. Players & parents will make their way to the check in point located by the clubhouse. *See below field map indicating entry & exit points
Check-in Procedures
Exiting the fields
On departing the fields players & parents will be directed to use the following exits…
*See below field map indicating entry & exit
*NOTE* These gates will be pad locked to prevent entry until 10 minutes prior to the end of each session to allow for exiting.
Staff/Volunteers/Officials
These individuals will all go through temperature checks and questioning on COVID -19 symptoms before each night of training/activity. If symptomatic they will be immediately isolated and advised to leave the fields and seek professional medical advice. A doctor’s clearance must be provided in order for that individual to return to the fields.
During Play
Players and coaches will adhere to a minimum of 6ft social distancing at all times. (If applicable)
Enforcement
The consequence for lack of compliance will result in suspension from any activity on or in City facilities for a minimum of 14 days. Continued lack of compliance may lead to termination of contract.
Identifying COVID-19
Segregation area
If someone becomes symptomatic with COVID-19 after they have arrived and been permitted onto the fields, they will be placed in a “safe area” away from general activities until they are able to depart the fields safely. Minors will be supervised by an adult. The location of the safe area will be approximately 25 yards away from the general public area.
Self-isolation
If anyone develops a fever at any time, they should isolate themselves for 72 hours and bring a doctor’s note clearing them before a returning to the fields is feasible.
Reporting illness
A report will be written on anyone who is symptomatic and reported to the City of St Pete Athletics department for the attention of parks director Chris Wolfe.
COVID-19 Exposure
Anyone exposed to a person diagnosed with COVID-19 must stay home, self-monitor for symptoms, and follow CDC guidelines if symptoms develop.
Training
There will be only practice and conditioning; no scrimmages, games, or tournaments are allowed at this time. We will wait for further guidance from the City of St Petersburg on lifting further restrictions and sanctions.
Attendance sheet
A roster and attendance sheet for each team scheduled practice will be implemented to assist with contact tracing if necessary. Our intention is to host tryouts and remain dormant for the remainder of June and most of July.
